Everyone in Tulsa County should have access to affordable
and excellent legal representation.

Through partnership with the University of Tulsa College of Law, the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office hosts a legal clinic.

In addition to a classroom seminar, clinic students also represent individuals in various stages of criminal proceedings, from initial bond docket appearances through post-conviction matters such as judicial reviews and cost docket. Clinic students are supervised by Assistant Public Defenders during court appearances. The goal of the clinic is to empower law students to become powerful, empathetic advocates for their clients.

Along with Tulsa County Alternative Court Program and members of the Tulsa County judiciary, the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office has helped spearhead Re-Entry Court in Tulsa County.

Re-Entry Court is a program which seeks to identify incarcerated individuals who have shown their dedication to and success in rehabilitation. Lasting about 12 months, individuals who graduate from Re-Entry Court leave the program with the tools they need to succeed in society and reduce their chances at recidivism.
